Core responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and support: Responding to user tickets, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, and escalating problems when necessary.
- Installation and configuration: Installing, configuring, and upgrading operating systems, software applications, and hardware components like memory and network cards.
- System maintenance: Performing ongoing maintenance to ensure smooth operation, which includes preparing for future desktop needs.
- Remote and on-site support: Providing technical assistance to users at their location or remotely, as well as managing on-boarding of new employees with their new workstation setup.
- Monitoring and documentation: Monitoring desktop infrastructure, documenting technical issues and their resolutions, and logging support requests.
- Customer service: Communicating with users to understand their issues, providing basic training, and ensuring prompt and professional service
