Job Purpose

To ensure safety and integrity of PNG pipeline networks by conducting regular patrolling, leak detection, and reporting abnormalities as per safety standards and SOPs.

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline Patrolling

• Carry out daily/weekly patrolling of PNG pipelines (MDPE / steel).

• Identify leaks, damages, encroachments, or unsafe activities along pipeline routes.

• Check valves, marker posts, and pipeline identification boards.

Leak Detection & Reporting

• Perform leak detection using approved methods/tools.

• Immediately report gas smell, pressure drop, or visible damage.

• Coordinate with maintenance and emergency teams.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow HSE guidelines, SOPs, and emergency procedures.

• Use PPE during patrolling and field activities.

• Support emergency response and mock drills.

Documentation

• Maintain patrolling logs, checklists, and incident reports.

• Mark and report areas requiring repair or attention
