III. The Role: The Vice President ~ Business Operations South shall have the complete accountability to drive the business operations for all the business lines of the company & the subsidiaries within the south zone. The prominent business in the south zone is Staffing and the focus shall be to build Skill, Advisory and Technology Solutions businesses. The role combines hands-on business development with on-ground operations leadership, ensuring efficient delivery, cost control and profitable, scalable operations through close coordination with the frontline and back-end teams.
The Key accountabilities shall include:
- Drive efficiencies across the existing staffing business including revenue extraction, customer engagement & delight, net adds, time & cost to hire, optimize cost to serve besides others.
- Business Development across all lines of business, priority being staffing. The initiative must strongly align to the client acquisition practices of the company.
- Expand the skill & staffing footprint across the south region & leverage the functionalities of the JustJob platform for efficiencies, placements & candidate base. Institutional MoUs to grow relevant database.
- Drive efficiencies across the skill infrastructure including Quality of certification, utilization of capacity, financial viability & revenue realization.
- Deliver an institutionalized process on Talent fulfilment, managing the inflow on mobilization of trainees for skill centres & placement of skill certified trainees prioritizing the staffing clients of the company.
- Deliver an eco-system based on active collaboration with partners in the south region to ensure the zone becomes a talent fulfilment hub for the vacancies in the region & other PAN India requirements across the staffing & other businesses.
- Effective liaison & strong operational relationships with the stake holders. He will play a crucial role in anchoring our success thru business development & management by scoping the existing & unmet needs of the corporates / clients in the zone and customizing our service offerings to align with local market demands.
The role would initially include Staffing business, efficiencies, Skill Centres: creation / Efficiencies / capacity utilization / Revenue / placements, Business Development, JustJob utilization / database enrichment / clients for job portal and new Partnerships & Alliances as a focus leading from on-boardingto service delivery and customer engagement. The success of the role would be in managing the end to end operations, in active collaboration with the COE roles based at the corporate/counterparts ensuring seamless integration for the clients.
IV. Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development: Build and execute a business development plan for Staffing, Skill and other services across the South zone, with clear hunting and farming KPIs. Develop a strong client funnel across industry clusters; drive client acquisition, cross-sell and up-sell to existing accounts. Lead from the front on key BD meetings, closures and transitions, setting the cadence for the delivery / sales team.
2. Staffing Business Operations Leadership & Delivery Excellence: Facilitate & manage day-to-day operations for the South zone through the zonal team, ensuring SLAs, quality and timelines are consistently met. Institutionalize processes for talent mobilization, on-boarding, deployment and post-placement support, tightly linked to staffing demand. Monitor account performance, quality of delivery, productivity of the team, placement %, capacity utilisation and field operations through dashboards and regular reviews.
3. JustJob Platform: Ensure JustJob is at the core of all operation & expansion initiatives across Staffing, Skill & Digital business lines thru patronage & acceptance of the platform. Building up database, hosting jobs, drive placements, sales revenue as a product and user enrolment for the platform.
4. Client / Internal Stake holders Collaboration: Create & maintain strong working relationships across the spectrum of the COEs & other zones to bolster relevant insights & experiences towards improving the existing and offering customer centric services. Focus on strong relationships with key clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
5. Revenue & Costs: Ensure the revenue & cost lines from the operational businesses are tightly managed & delivered. Manage costs across the sphere of operations without compromising the velocity, quality & quantity of delivery. Identify opportunities to automate, towards maximizing the productivity, minimizing human transactional interventions leading to higher productivity, control & accuracy on the data, reports and analytics
6. Team Management &“Hands-on” Leadership: Ensure adequacy of talent in the internal team, headcount & competence enabling readiness to deliver zero error service deliver, high productivity and engagement for the team. Deliver integration of the team to company DNA of Multi-Tasking, Mobility, vertical & horizontal movements leading to higher engagement.
V. The Ideal Experience: Around 18–22 years of experience in staffing, skill or related HR services, with clear exposure to both business development and operations management. Proven track record of running a profit centre/region, scaling revenues and improving margins in a multi-location setup. Strong understanding of the staffing models, skill ecosystem, project management, costing and statutory compliances, especially in the South region.
Demonstrated hands-on leadership style: works with teams in the field, comfortable with detail, and can switch between tactical and operational levels. Experience of managing large teams and workforce across diverse sites with high focus on execution and client relationship management.
VI. Education: A Master’s degree in Business Management is preferable, to build up on the competence required, as above.
