Key Responsibilities
For NDT Technician (UT Welder):
- Perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT) inspections on welds and fabrication components as per industry quality standards.
- Identify, interpret, evaluate, and report defects or irregularities accurately.
- Maintain detailed and accurate inspection logs, reports, and documentation.
- Support the QA/QC team in audits and technical documentation.
- Strictly follow company safety protocols and industry quality procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of UT inspection techniques and methods.
For Fitters:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
- Accurately layout, fit, align, and assemble metal and structural components.
- Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to prepare components.
- Ensure all work meets specified tolerances and drawing specifications.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with safety rules.
4. Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3–4 years of hands-on experience in the respective role.
- Certification (UT Welder Only): Valid NDT certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
Technical Skills:
- UT Welder: Strong proficiency in UT methods, equipment handling, and welding standards.
- Fitter: Ability to read complex drawings and perform high-accuracy fitting tasks.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 20 kg), work long standing hours, and manage physically demanding tasks.
- Personal Attributes: Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, commitment to safety and quality.
5. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: Competitive and based on industry standards.
- Overtime Rates:
- Fitter: INR 40/hour
- UT Welder: INR 55/hour
Shift Details:
- Timing: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (12-hour shift)
- Work Week: 6 days/week
Perks:
- Subsidized meals at INR 10 per meal
- Note: Cab and accommodation facilities are not provided.
