Areas of Responsibilities
Manage procurement of telecom systems and related services, including:
Communication networks (LAN/WAN, fiber optic systems, VSAT, PA/GA systems, CCTV, access control, radio systems, etc.)
IT infrastructure and network hardware (servers, routers, switches, cabling).
Integration and maintenance services.
Review project specifications, data sheets, and scope of work to identify telecom material and service requirements.
Prepare and issue RFQs (Request for Quotations) to approved vendors and service providers.
Conduct techno-commercial evaluations in coordination with engineering and project teams.
Negotiate terms, pricing, delivery, and payment schedules with suppliers and subcontractors.
Prepare and issue Purchase Orders / Work Orders and ensure compliance with project and client requirements.
Coordinate with engineering, quality, and site teams for technical clarifications, FAT/SAT, and delivery status.
Monitor vendor progress and ensure timely dispatch of materials and completion of services.
Manage contracts for telecom-related services, AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts), and support agreements.
Track and report procurement status, budget utilization, and vendor performance.
Ensure procurement aligns with L&T SCM procedures, HSE standards, and ethical compliance.
Support cost-saving initiatives and localization of telecom supply chain sources.
Required Qualifications:
4–10 years of experience in procurement or contract management of telecom systems and services in EPC / Oil & Gas / Infrastructure / Power / Process industries.
Good understanding of telecom systems integration, network components, and communication standards.
Proficiency in SAP / ERP systems, MS Excel, and procurement tracking tools.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor coordination skills.
Knowledge of INCOTERMS, import/export logistics, and basic contractual terms.
