Job Summary:
A Picker Packer is responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. The role involves working in a warehouse or distribution center environment and ensuring all orders are filled correctly and in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Pick customer orders from shelves or inventory using a scanner or picking sheet
Pack items securely in appropriate packaging materials
Label and prepare packages for shipment
Verify items picked match order specifications (size, quantity, type)
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow safety procedures and company guidelines
Report inventory discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors
Assist with stock replenishment and inventory counts as needed
Meet productivity and accuracy targets
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior warehouse or order fulfillment experience a plus, but not required
Ability to lift up to [30-50 lbs] regularly
Comfortable standing, bending, and walking for extended periods
Basic math and reading skills
Attention to detail and good organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment:
Fast-paced warehouse setting
May involve exposure to varying temperatures, depending on facility
Use of warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, scanners, or forklifts (if certified)
