Job Summary:
We are seeking a Purchase Executive with experience in procurement for railway infrastructure projects or interior design/fit-out projects. The role involves sourcing materials, vendor management, price negotiation, and ensuring timely delivery of quality materials to support ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and procure materials based on project requirements (railway or interior projects).
For railway projects: procurement of steel, cement, signaling & telecom equipment, electrical fittings, track-related items, and civil construction materials.
For interior projects: procurement of furniture, lighting, hardware, flooring, fittings, and décor items.
Negotiate rates, contracts, and payment terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Coordinate with project managers, site teams, and stores to monitor material requirements and deliveries.
Ensure compliance with RDSO/IR standards (for railway projects) or design specifications (for interiors).
Maintain vendor database, build long-term supplier relationships, and track supplier performance.
Prepare purchase orders, billing documents, stock reports, and assist in payment processing.
Stay updated with market trends and new product launches for cost optimization.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of either railway infrastructure materials or interior design market.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP software.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Qualification & Experience:
Graduate in Commerce / Supply Chain / Engineering / Interior Design or related field.
2–5 years of purchase/procurement experience in either railway infrastructure OR interior designer market.
Familiarity with railway standards (RDSO/IR) or interior market/vendor networks preferred.
