We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Telecom Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our company's telecommunications infrastructure. This includes voice, data, and video communication systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in telecommunications technologies and a passion for ensuring seamless and reliable connectivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, install, and configure telecommunications systems, including voice over IP (VoIP), private branch exchange (PBX), and unified communications solutions.
Manage and maintain the company's telecommunications network, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to voice, data, and network connectivity.
Monitor network performance and implement necessary upgrades and enhancements.
Collaborate with other IT professionals and vendors to ensure the successful integration of new technologies and services.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all telecommunications systems and procedures.
Provide technical support and training to end-users.
Stay current with emerging telecommunications technologies and make recommendations for future network enhancements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience working as a Telecom Engineer or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of telecommunications systems and technologies, including VoIP, SIP, TDM, and Ethernet.
Experience with network hardware, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and gateways.
Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Strong understanding of network security principles.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or similar.
Experience with specific vendor equipment (e.g., Cisco, Avaya, Mitel).
