Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance and Control:
Establish Standards: Develop and maintain comprehensive quality standards and specifications for all steel sheet products, including dimensional tolerances, mechanical properties, and surface finish requirements.
Inspection and Testing: Create and execute rigorous inspection and testing plans. This includes performing or overseeing tests such as tensile strength, hardness, formability, and chemical composition analysis.
Defect Analysis: Identify, document, and analyze defects in steel sheets, such as cracks, surface imperfections, or dimensional errors. Determine the root cause of these issues and collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions.
2. Process Improvement:
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and reduce waste.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead and participate in RCA initiatives to solve complex quality problems, using tools like Ishikawa (fishbone) diagrams and 5 Whys.
Statistical Process Control (SPC): Use statistical methods to monitor and control the manufacturing process to ensure it remains stable and capable of producing high-quality products.
3. Auditing and Compliance:
Internal Audits: Conduct regular quality audits of production lines and processes to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
External Standards: Ensure all products and processes comply with relevant industry regulations and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, automotive standards like IATF 16949).
