JS Auto Cast Foundry India Pvt. Ltd., established in 2004, is a well-known maker of ductile iron castings used in high-performance sectors like automotive, wind energy, hydraulics, and off-highway equipment. In 2022, Bharat Forge acquired JS Auto Cast, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary.

About the role
Position Title: Trainee (Entry Level)
Department: Production / Foundry Operations
Reporting To: Shift Supervisor / Production Manager
Location: J S Auto Cast Foundry India Pvt Ltd - SIPCOT, Perundurai, Tamil Nadu
Employment Type: Permanent / Training Period
Job Purpose
The Trainee will undergo hands-on training in various foundry operations, learning and
supporting activities such as mould preparation, melting, pouring, fettling, and quality
checks. The role aims to provide the trainee with the necessary skills and knowledge to
work efficiently in the foundry environment. Over the period, this resource will be assigned
to a particular department.
Training & Growth Opportunities
The trainee will gain practical exposure to foundry operations and manufacturing
processes. Successful completion of the training period may lead to a permanent position in
the production team based on performance and company requirements.
CTC- 21,877 per month, Take home- Rs. 15,591
Free hostel facility is available for students coming from distant places. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided at just ₹11 per meal
Skills & Competencies
- Willingness to learn and adapt to foundry processes.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing or mechanical concepts (preferred).
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in high-temperature environments.
- Teamwork and ability to follow instructions carefully.
- Punctuality and discipline in the workplace.
Education & Experience
- Minimum Qualification: 10th / 12th pass or ITI (Fitter / Foundryman / Mechanical/
Metallurgy) – Freshers can apply.
- No prior experience required; training will be provided on the job.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in mould preparation, core making, and related activities.
- Support melting and pouring operations under supervision.
- Perform basic fettling, grinding, and finishing of cast products.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping in the work area.
- Observe and follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- Assist in basic quality inspection of castings.
- Learn and follow standard operating procedures in foundry operations.
- Report any equipment issues or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
