Job Summary:
Aruva is seeking a skilled and dedicated AV Service and Troubleshooting Engineer to join our growing technical team. This role is crucial for ensuring the continuous, high-quality performance of professional audio systems installed at our client sites, which include restro bars, schools, and colleges. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing periodic maintenance contracts (AMCs) as per schedule, performing in-depth troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduled Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive maintenance visits to client sites (restro bars, schools, colleges) as per the assigned AMC schedule.
- System Inspection: Perform thorough inspections of professional audio systems, including speakers, amplifiers, mixers, microphones, cabling, and associated AV equipment, to identify potential issues.
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Expertly diagnose and resolve complex technical faults, malfunctions, and performance issues in audio-visual systems. This includes identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Repairs & Replacements: Execute necessary repairs and replace faulty components, ensuring systems are restored to optimal working condition swiftly.
- System Optimization: Calibrate and fine-tune audio systems to ensure superior sound quality and performance, meeting client expectations and industry standards.
- Client Interaction: Provide clear, concise explanations of technical issues and solutions to clients, offering basic operational guidance and ensuring their understanding.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all service visits, maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and system configurations in the designated service management system.
- Emergency Support: Respond to urgent service requests, providing timely on-site support to resolve critical system breakdowns.
- Inventory Management: Assist in tracking and managing spare parts and tools required for maintenance and repairs.
- Adherence to Standards: Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Aruva's quality standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or ITI certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Sound Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on experience as an AV Technician or Service Engineer, specifically with professional audio systems. Proven experience in a maintenance contract (AMC) environment is highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining professional audio equipment (e.g., digital/analog mixers, power amplifiers, microphones, DSPs, loudspeakers).
- Proficient understanding of audio signal flow and common AV connectivity (XLR, TRS, Speakon, HDMI).
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and system layouts.
- Basic knowledge of video and lighting systems is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and methodical troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical challenges under pressure.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and [Local Language, e.g., Hindi], with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical clients.
