Job Title: Project Head – Railway Projects

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Head to lead and manage the execution of
railway infrastructure projects across India. The ideal candidate will possess a deep
understanding of railway project lifecycles, including coach / rake refurbishment,
lavatory upgradation, coordination with government and regulatory authorities
etc. This leadership role demands strong project management, technical expertise,
stakeholder engagement, and team management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution:
▪ Lead end-to-end execution of assigned railway projects, including planning,
resource allocation, budgeting, scheduling, risk mitigation, and quality control.
▪ Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, in accordance
with contract specifications and safety standards.
Strategic Planning:
▪ Develop detailed project execution strategies aligned with company goals.
▪ Support VP Operations in strategic decision-making related to railway sector
initiatives and bids.
Team & Stakeholder Management:
▪ Build, lead, and mentor project teams including projects managers, assistant
project managers, engineers, and site staff.
▪ Liaise with clients (e.g., Indian Railways, PSU bodies), consultants, contractors,
and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project coordination.
Regulatory Compliance:
▪ Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory norms, including RDSO, IRCON,
RVNL, and other railway authorities.
▪ Manage all project documentation, including permits, licenses, and quality
certifications.
Financial Management:
▪ Monitor project budgets, cost control, billing, and cash flow.
▪ Prepare and present regular project performance reports to senior management.
Risk & Safety Oversight:
▪ Identify and mitigate potential project risks.
▪ Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
▪ Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline (Mandatory)
▪ Master’s degree in engineering/management is an added advantage
Experience:
▪ Minimum 15+ years of experience in infrastructure project management, with at
least 7 years in railway projects (refurbishments, lavatory upgradation, etc.)
▪ Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and handling projects
valued at INR 100 - 200Cr and above.
▪ Strong knowledge of Indian Railways systems, norms, and authorities (e.g.,
IRCON, RITES, RVNL, etc.)
