Electrician

Core-Competency:

• Skilled in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of: LT panels, MCC panels, DBs, and control panels, Welding machines, press brakes, shearing machines, roll forming machines, sensors, compressors; Galvanizing furnace control systems, exhaust units etc
• Reads and interprets: Single-line diagrams (SLD), Wiring diagrams, relay logic, and control circuits
• Diagnoses faults based on schematics and field testing, Conducts:Routine inspection and preventive maintenance, Repair of motors (AC, single-phase, 3-phase), starters, and contactors, Ensures minimum downtime of production-critical machines
• Follows strict electrical safety norms: PPE usage (gloves, arc-rated clothing, insulated tools), Lockout-tagout (LOTO) practices, Ensures earthing systems, overload protection, and short-circuit protection are intact
•  Performs: New machine power setup and cabling
•  Load balancing and phase-wise distribution
•   Installation of isolators, MCBs, ELCBs, and cable trays
•  Uses: Multimeter, clamp meter, insulation resistance tester (megger), Tools to check current, voltage, earth resistance, and continuity,  Ensures systems are within operating voltage and load limits
•  Installs and troubleshoots: Motors (1 HP to 50 HP), VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), Soft starters and overload relays
•  Handles control systems for: Heating furnaces, Temperature controllers, Timers and limit switches, Monitors power consumption, thermal load, and panel safety
•  Maintains: Daily electrical maintenance logs, Spares records, energy usage data, Breakdown history and root cause reports
•  Works closely with: Production, maintenance, and safety teams, Handles urgent issues calmly and resolves faults under pressure
