Job Purpose:
To assist in executing daily production activities for solar structure components, ensuring adherence to process flow, quality standards, and production targets. Responsible for coordination between departments, shopfloor operations, material flow, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process & Technical Understanding
Operate and monitor processes like shearing, punching, bending, welding, drilling, and galvanizing/powder coating.
Understand and follow the process flow for components like rails, purlins, clamps, and C-channels.
2. Drawing Interpretation & Quality Focus
Read and interpret 2D fabrication drawings.
Identify dimensions, hole sizes, bend details, tolerances, and weld symbols.
Flag visible defects, part mismatches, and escalate to the QA team.
3. Production Planning & Monitoring
Monitor daily production output and ensure adherence to the production plan.
Report deviations, machine downtime, and operator absenteeism promptly.
Ensure machine readiness, operator assignment, and shopfloor discipline.
4. Material & Workflow Coordination
Coordinate with stores, QA, and dispatch for seamless material flow.
Track raw material inward, WIP, and finished goods for dispatch readiness.

Enter production data in Excel or ERP systems (e.g., Bizsol).
Use digital checklists for tracking productivity and reporting.
7. Safety & Communication
Ensure adherence to safety norms and PPE usage on the shopfloor.
Promote a safety-first culture.
Communicate production status, bottlenecks, or absenteeism effectively to seniors.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Knowledge of fabrication processes
Familiarity with BOMs, route sheets, and production planning
Proficiency in drawing reading and tolerance understanding
Basic computer skills (Excel, ERP)
Good coordination and communication abilities
Strong quality and safety orientation
