Job Responsibilities
- Receive and review orders: Verify orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Locate and pick items: Retrieve items from inventory, using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Scan and track items: Use barcode scanners to track and record items picked.
- Pack and prepare items: Pack items in boxes or containers, ensuring proper packaging and protection.
- Label and mark packages: Label packages with correct shipping information and markings.1. Pack orders accurately: Pack items according to customer specifications and company standards.
- Use proper packaging materials: Select and use appropriate packaging materials, such as boxes, bubble wrap, and tape.
- Ensure proper weight and size: Verify package weight and size to ensure accurate shipping calculations.
- Seal and label packages: Seal packages securely and apply shipping labels.
- Prepare packages for shipping: Stage packages for pickup or shipping, ensuring they are properly secured and labeled.
- Maintain a safe work environment: Follow safety procedures and report any hazards or incidents.
- Meet productivity and quality standards: Work efficiently and accurately to meet production goals and quality expectations.
- Communicate with team members: Collaborate with other pickers, packers, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
