1.Knowledge of and implement safety procedures at all times.
2. A lineman is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical power lines and auxiliary equipment
3. Regularly works on poles using ladder and safety belt & to work on the installation of underground lines (within plant), install meters, climb poles to repair overhead lines and inspect power lines for possible repair or replacement.
4. Receives and responds to customer inquiries and complaints and performs corrective action in response to customer inquiries and complaints.
5. Routes or re-routes power lines over, under or around existing lines and structures, regularly working above, on, or in close proximity to energized lines.
6. Installs, removes, transfers, maintains and/or repairs suspension clams, dead end clamps, guys, meters, repeaters, IPC, AB cable and stay set and poles.
7. Performs emergency repairs, performs load checks and balances feeders as required.
8. Inspects lines, poles and equipment for signs of damage or wear and reports deficiencies.
9. Assists in carrying poles, digging holes, piking and guying poles and other such operations involved in the setting or replacing of poles.
10. May troubleshoot electrical problems on Company and customer equipment.
11. Cleaning of Modules fortnightly basis and wiped dry to ensure no strain remain.
12. Having knowledge to perform IR test, Earth Resistance test, Load measurements etc.
13. Maintain plant area for smooth operations.
