GPS Technician (Installer) Job Description
Installer Requirements:
- Minimum education - High school
- Good Knowledge of IoT/GPS devices
- Having 3-4 years’ experience in installation of GPS devices for Basic as well as advanced featured devices like BMS, AIS140 devices - Proven and varied installation experience.
- Capacity to use discretion when examining installation instructions.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to seek clarification when presented with ambiguous requests.
- Physically fit for outstation field activities
- Available to tend to late call-outs on occasion
Installer Responsibilities:
- Communication with the end user for scheduling the installation post task assignment
- Maintain, high level of work quality during installation
- Serve as a liaison between the customer onboarding team
- Ensure following the safety guideline, maintain quality, and efficiencies of the installation.
- Perform and monitor tests in field for on-boarding GPS devices in coordination with backend support team
- Provide inputs for activities in field - results and cost savings.
- Use proper tools & accessories for qualitative installations
- Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Assist in maintaining inventory and facility related tasks when necessary
- Support service/repair/re-installation tasks as and when assigned.
- Testing of devices to review their functionality.
- Furnishing clients with maintenance-related advice
- Tidying installation sites promptly post installation
