JOB ROLE: CHEF
Qualification: Hospitality Degree - Australian Qualifications Framework Certificate III level equivalent (a diploma after year 10 in India) VETASSESS is the assessing authority
Experience: 5 - 8 Years
Salary: AUD 58,000 per Annum i.e. Approx. *Rs. 32,66,061/- per year + Superannuation 10% of salary
Working Hours: 38 Hours per week
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITY OF CHEF:
- Creating regular and exceptional menu based on restaurant theme or special theme.
- Perform food preparation from the beginning to the end.
- Perform food presentations and set standard for high quality food presentations.
- Managing employees and any people who work in the kitchen.
- Spot any problems occurred in the kitchen related to employees, equipment and supplies, and resolve them efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain well manner personality in front of the employees and customers.
- Delegates any kitchen task at once no matter how much the tasks are.
- Improve the productivity of kitchen staffs and employees based on their position.
- Maintaining personal hygiene and encourage the employees to do the same thing.
- Maintaining the hygiene of equipment and kitchen area.
- Maintaining high work and standard of safety in the kitchen.
- Maintaining the quality of culinary and make sure the dishes are served right on the schedule
- Approving every food item before they leave the kitchen.
- Knowledgeable in food safety (HACCP) and implementation in the kitchen
- Ordering supplies and any raw ingredients.
- Reporting to the higher level about stocks and supplies.
- Establishing good contact with the vendors.
