Key Responsibilities
- This person will be expected to Own the design and finalization of overall data architecture for Smart City projects by collaborating with other OEMs / Smaller SIs / other Business Units
- Lead the design phase of the solution, participate in all remaining phases to verify that the design is installed, configured and documented correctly
- Provide subject matter expertise for Integrated Smart City solutions while creating assimilated technical solutions that focus on customer's business needs (including, but not limited to)
- Command and Control Centre
- Intelligent Transport System and Intelligent Government Services
- Security and Surveillance
- Citi Wi-Fi
- Smart Energy, Smart Water metering, Solid Waste Management
- Emergency response and city incidence management
- Develop ecosystem of platforms and offerings for various smart cities solution/ applications.
- Collaborate with technical team from other Business units / Global SMEs to develop and execute new Smart City solutions
- Assist in the evaluation of new solutions for integration into Smart City ecosystem Road-map/Strategy
- Translate customer business issues/opportunities into technical solution/business requirements
- Deliver successful Proof of Concept engagements that demonstrate solution outcome mapping to customer needs
Smart World & Communication
- Anchor RFP response and proposals to the clients from a Technical perspective
- Support the development and implementation of new business opportunities.
- Develop and/or maintain expertise in Smart City ecosystem
- Effectively support the sales and engineering teams with technical presentations
- Support Sales / BD / technical team members and train to bring them up to speed on the technical / complex strategic solutions in the Smart City realm
Experience / Exposure
- Advanced level knowledge of Relational, NoSQL, or NewSQL database systems, and data modeling, structured and unstructured.
- Advanced level knowledge in scripting languages, expertise with high performance/ systems languages and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to review business processes and translate into BI reporting and analysis solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of and ability using analytical and business intelligence programs such as OBIEE, business objects, Informatica, Tableau, Matlab, SAS, R, SPSS etc.
- Working knowledge of big data and analytics on any of the cloud platform using Hadoop or other big data platform technologies
- Expert level of understanding of Data Access Design and Query execution internals across different technologies, Indexing techniques, Text and Image search, Recommendation Systems.
- Extensive experience in data analysis and root cause analysis and proven problem solving and analytical thinking capabilities.
- Experience using and designing key data structures, algorithms and techniques pertinent to systems that support high volume, variety datasets including data mining, machine learning, , data retrieval.
- Demonstrated ability with enterprise application and database driven applications.
- Extensive experience in the evaluation, design, and deployment of new tools, frameworks, and patterns to build scalable data platforms.
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies(Agile, SCRUM, RUP, other)
- The candidate must have experience in conceptualization, design and implementation of Data Architecture for at least 3 large scale system integration projects in Smart City / Safe City / IOT / Critical Infrastructure Protection / eGovernance domains in the last 5 years
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing
Education & Skillset
- BE/BTech in Electronics & Telecommunication or Information Technology, with 12+ years of experience in acting as a Solution Architect in the relevant domains
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills
- Knowledge in various areas including data center, platforms, storage, database, web services, security, service desk, ITIL etc. and Network Security solutions like Firewall, IPS, VPN, would be required.
- Broad understanding and experience of real-time analytics, data modeling and management, analytical tools Open Source Big Data technologies etc.
- Hands-on-experience in solution design & network/solution architecture development experience with an exposure of large scale implementation, including Cloud, Security, IOT & ICT Applications and Data Centre solutions.
