Project Engineer – CGD Project Execution & O&M
Job Role
We are looking for a Project Engineer with 4–5 years of experience in CGD / Oil & Gas / Gas Pipeline projects.
The candidate will mainly be responsible for field work, pipeline project execution, contractor supervision, testing, commissioning, and O&M activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily work at CGD project sites.
- Monitor steel and MDPE pipeline laying work.
- Supervise excavation, pipe laying, jointing, welding, backfilling, and road restoration.
- Check work as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and site teams.
- Monitor daily project progress and report to the Project Manager.
- Ensure work is completed on time and as per quality requirements.
- Supervise pipeline testing and commissioning.
- Support installation and commissioning of DRS/MRS, valves, regulators, meters, and other CGD equipment.
- Support O&M activities such as pipeline inspection, maintenance, leakage checking, and breakdown handling.
- Attend site issues and coordinate for quick repair and restoration.
- Ensure proper safety practices at site.
- Conduct/participate in toolbox talks and safety inspections.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with PTW and other safety procedures.
- Prepare daily progress reports and maintain site documents.
- Coordinate with O&M teams for project handover.
- Support preparation of as-built drawings and commissioning documents.
Candidate Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical / Civil / Chemical / Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 4–5 years of experience in CGD, Oil & Gas, Gas Pipeline, or Pipeline EPC.
- Good experience in steel and MDPE pipeline work.
- Knowledge of CGD pipeline construction and commissioning.
- Experience in DRS/MRS, CNG/PNG, valves, regulators, and metering systems will be preferred.
- Experience in contractor handling and site supervision.
- Basic knowledge of HSE and gas pipeline safety.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Must be willing to work at project sites and field locations.
- Willingness to travel as required.
