Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Engineer – Automation to manage industrial automation programming, machine testing, installation, and commissioning. The role involves working with PLC, HMI, SCADA, and other automation technologies to ensure machine performance, safety, quality, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand technical specifications and identify the automation elements required for machines.

• Develop and program PLC, HMI, NI LabVIEW, TestStand, and PC-based solutions.

• Work with Design, Assembly, and Process teams to understand technical requirements.

• Load, test, troubleshoot, and qualify machines and test benches.

• Support industrial automation product selection and machine design improvements.

• Perform installation, commissioning, and qualification of machines at Schneider Electric plants and supplier locations.

• Monitor machine performance and implement corrective actions to resolve issues.

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation-related problems.

• Work with industrial automation technologies such as robotics, vision inspection, laser marking, scanning, sensors, and product testing equipment.

• Prepare technical documentation, machine operation instructions, and maintenance procedures.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve machine performance.

• Train production, methods, and maintenance teams during machine trials and commissioning.

• Provide technical support during production ramp-up and service calls.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming.

• Experience with industrial automation and manufacturing environments.

• Knowledge of Schneider PLC and HMI is preferred.

• Understanding of communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, TCP/IP, FTP, and Ethernet/IP.

• Experience with electrical drawings and automation troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of robotics, vision inspection, sensors, servo drives, and industrial testing equipment.

• Experience with PC-based test equipment and test machines.

• Knowledge of NI LabVIEW and TestStand is an advantage.

• Understanding of machine safety, risk assessment, pneumatic and hydraulic circuits, cycle-time studies, and line balancing.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.

• Good written and verbal English communication. Knowledge of Kannada, Telugu, or Tamil is an advantage.
