Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to perform qualification testing and evaluation of new, second-sourced, and localized electrical/electronic components. The role will involve power electronics testing, safety testing, component qualification, regulatory compliance, vendor coordination, and maintaining qualification laboratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule qualification activities for electrical and electronic components.
• Perform qualification tests on new, second-sourced, and localized components.
• Conduct required safety tests and evaluate products against applicable safety standards.
• Test and debug power supplies and converters such as SMPS, AC-DC, DC-AC, UPS, and Solar Inverters.
• Evaluate electrical/electronic components and ensure they meet defined specifications.
• Interact with vendors to obtain technical information and resolve sample-related issues.
• Support vendor qualification through technical assessments and site visits when required.
• Conduct pilot runs in coordination with the Quality team to verify new component performance.
• Create, modify, and update electrical/electronic component specifications.
• Support ECO generation and implementation.
• Complete component qualification and update approved vendor information in the AML.
• Test products according to test requests and test data sheets.
• Ensure laboratory test equipment is properly calibrated.
• Prepare product safety test reports and maintain laboratory records.
• Maintain laboratory organization and manage consumable stock.
• Ensure regulatory compliance objectives are achieved.
• Coordinate with designers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve qualification and regulatory issues.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• BE / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics Engineering with 3+ years of experience, or Diploma with 5+ years of experience.
• Hands-on experience in testing and debugging power supplies/converters.
• Strong understanding of electrical/electronic components and their qualification requirements.
• Design exposure to power converters is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Experience in electrical/electronic product qualification and safety testing is preferred.
