Job Title: Service Automation Engineer - Electronic Weighbridge

Job Summary:
The Service Automation Engineer for Electronic Weighbridge will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and automation of electronic weighbridge systems. This role involves working closely with clients to ensure optimal performance, integration with automated controls, data accuracy, and seamless operation of weighing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, and service electronic weighbridge systems on-site according to technical specifications and standards.
- Automate weighbridge processes to improve operational efficiency and data management.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to sensors, load cells, displays, and communication protocols.
- Provide technical support and timely resolution for weighbridge faults and failures.
- Configure and calibrate electronic weighbridge sensors to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
- Integrate weighbridge automation with existing control and enterprise systems (e.g., PLC, SCADA, ERP).
- Develop and maintain documentation including service reports, calibration records, and user manuals.
- Train end-users and customers on the operation and maintenance of automated weighbridge systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for continuous improvement and innovation in weighbridge automation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards during all service activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with electronic weighing systems, load cells, sensors, and industrial automation.
- Strong knowledge of automation technologies, PLC programming, and communication protocols (Modbus, RS485, Ethernet).
- Ability to diagnose and repair both hardware and software issues related to weighbridge systems.
- Proficiency in calibration and configuration of electronic weighing instruments.
- Good problem-solving skills with a customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a service/technical team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
Preferred:
- Certification or specialized training in industrial automation or instrumentation.
- Experience with software tools for weighbridge management and automation.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to weighing equipment.
