Educational Qualification
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Environment / Chemical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering
- OR Graduation in Science stream along with Diploma in Sanitary Inspector Course
- OR Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Environmental Science
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in Solid Waste Management, Sanitation, or SBM.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end implementation of Solid Waste Management activities including source segregation, collection, transportation, processing, and disposal.
- Ensure effective operation and maintenance of MRFs, composting units, and other SWM infrastructure.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor the performance of sanitation workers, contractors, and agencies.
- Identify technical and operational gaps and recommend corrective measures.
- Coordinate with ULB officials, field staff, and contractors for smooth execution of SWM activities.
- Prepare and submit periodic progress reports and compliance updates.
- Support IEC, citizen engagement, and capacity-building initiatives for field staff and sanitation workers.
- Ensure adherence to Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016, SBM (U) guidelines, and applicable directives.
- Assist ULBs in Swachh Survekshan and achieving GFC and ODF+/Water+ certifications.
