Roles and Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of mechanical components, welding symbols, tolerances, and fabrication processes Familiarity with boiler codes (IBR, ASME)
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings of boilers and pressure parts using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Create assembly and fabrication drawings for boiler components like drums, headers, water walls, superheaters, economizers, and other auxiliary systems
- Understand engineering sketches, general arrangement (GA) drawings, and specifications provided by design engineers
- Convert conceptual designs into manufacturing-ready drawings
- Generate and maintain accurate BOMs for all boiler components
- Ensure that all materials listed comply with project specifications and standards.
- Generate isometric piping layouts and routing details for steam, feedwater, and blowdown systems
- Prepare drawings for supporting structures, access platforms, ladders, and maintenance walkways
