Job Purpose
Indo Asia Copper Limited is looking for a Diploma Chemical / B.Sc. Trainee to support the process and production team in the safe, efficient, and quality-compliant operation of its Copper & Fertilizer manufacturing units at Lunsapur, Rajula. The selected candidate will assist in process monitoring, quality checks, and shift operations while undergoing structured on-the-job training for one year, leading to absorption as a regular process/chemical executive on successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
The trainee will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day monitoring and control of chemical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, pH, and concentration across assigned production units, and for supporting shift-wise process operations for the copper smelting/refining and fertilizer manufacturing sections. The role also involves collecting in-process and finished product samples and coordinating with the Quality Control / Laboratory team for testing, as well as recording and maintaining shift logs, process data sheets, and production MIS as per SOPs. The candidate will assist in troubleshooting minor process deviations under the guidance of the Shift In-Charge or Process Engineer, and will be expected to follow and reinforce Standard Operating Procedures, safety protocols, and statutory compliance under the Factories Act and Pollution Control regulations during operations. Additional duties include supporting preventive checks, housekeeping (5S), and material reconciliation at the assigned process area, participating in plant trials, process improvement initiatives, and training sessions conducted by the Company, and promptly reporting any unsafe conditions, near-misses, or equipment abnormalities to the reporting authority.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should hold a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from a recognised State Board of Technical Education or an AICTE-approved institute, or a B.Sc. in Chemistry from a UGC-recognised university, with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying examination (relaxable for deserving candidates at Management's discretion). Fresh graduates, or candidates with up to one year of relevant industrial exposure, are preferred.
Desired Skills & Attributes
The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of chemical process operations, unit operations, and material/mass balance concepts, along with a willingness to work in rotational shifts within a process plant environment. Basic computer literacy in MS Excel and Word for shift reporting and MIS is expected, together with good observation, discipline, and safety-consciousness, and the ability to strictly follow SOPs. Candidates should be team players, willing to learn and take instructions from senior process/shift personnel, and should be fluent in Gujarati/Hindi, with a working knowledge of English preferred.
Training & Compensation
During the one-year training period, the trainee will receive an Annual CTC of ₹2,50,000/- (Monthly CTC of ₹20,833/-), with structured on-the-job exposure across process sections. The Company will provide Twin-Sharing Bachelor Accommodation at the project site, a subsidised canteen facility, and free company transportation from accommodation to site.
Post-Training Absorption
On successful completion of the one-year training period, and subject to satisfactory performance evaluation, the trainee will be absorbed into the Company's regular payroll. A one-time Retention Bonus of ₹25,000/- is payable on confirmation, subject to a 12-month service/recovery clause as per Company policy, and post-training compensation and designation will be as per the approved Company pay structure at the time of absorption. A Mediclaim Benefit of ₹3,00,000/- becomes applicable after successful completion of one year of training.
Work Conditions
The role is based at the Company's project site in Lunsapur, Rajula, Amreli district, Gujarat, and requires willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, as per plant operational requirements. The role involves exposure to a chemical/industrial plant environment, and strict adherence to PPE and safety norms is mandatory.
