Key Responsibilities:
- Tooling & Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for maintenance of tooling and fixtures used in manufacturing processes in India. Intimate the respective tooling leader to take proactive actions to avoid line stoppage due to tooling.
- Production Support: Collaborate with production planning & vendor to ensure the timely availability of tooling/parts based on forecast requirements. Support production in day-to-day operations.
- Capacity Management & Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of tooling inventory, including tracking usage, repairs, and replacements via vendor tool management software. Escalate to the right authority to ensure smooth functioning & closure of actions associated with tooling. Make sure the closure of all work orders in the tool, upkeep records, and publish to all stakeholders on a weekly basis. Conduct periodic reviews with all vendors to ensure smooth functioning of tools. Maintain available press machine database of all vendors associated with SE parts production, assigned machine hour, and required SPM to arrive at capacity. Ensure available capacity as per SE guidelines.
- Periodic & Preventive Maintenance: Ensure all data are updated and captured in the tool for all SE plants.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all tooling complies with quality and safety standards, implementing necessary inspections and tests.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for tooling enhancements and process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to align tooling requirements with production schedules and product specifications.
- Training: Provide training and support to vendors on proper tooling usage and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications:
Education: Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Tool & Die Making, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
Experience: 7–10 years of experience in tooling coordination or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Skills:
