Job Summary
We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant to support day-to-day warehouse operations for a Smart Metering Project. The candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, tracking, and maintaining smart meters and project materials while ensuring accurate inventory records and proper documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive smart meters, accessories, tools, and other project materials from suppliers.
- Check quantity, condition, and specifications of materials against delivery documents.
- Properly store and organize smart meters and materials in the warehouse.
- Issue smart meters and other materials to field installation teams as per approved requirements.
- Maintain accurate inward, outward, stock, and material issue records.
- Update inventory data in MS Excel or warehouse/inventory management software.
- Track meter serial numbers, material codes, quantities, and movement records.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconciliation.
- Identify damaged, defective, excess, or shortage materials and report them to the concerned supervisor.
- Ensure proper labeling, stacking, handling, and storage of materials.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety, and security standards.
- Coordinate with project, logistics, procurement, and field teams for material requirements.
- Prepare daily/weekly stock and material movement reports.
- Support loading, unloading, packing, and dispatch activities when required.
- Maintain proper documentation for all warehouse transactions.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of warehouse and inventory management.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Basic understanding of material inward/outward processes.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work with large volumes of inventory and serial-number-based materials.
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Smart Metering Experience
Candidates with experience in Smart Metering, AMISP, Electricity Distribution, Power Utility, Meter Installation, or related projects will be preferred.
Knowledge of smart meter serial number tracking, material reconciliation, and field-team material issuance will be an added advantage.
Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: Diploma preferred.
- Experience: 2- 4
