Key Responsibilities

MIS & Reporting

·         Prepare and maintain Daily, Weekly, and Monthly MIS reports for Smart Metering projects.

·         Track installation, replacement, commissioning, consumer indexing, survey, and other project activities.

·         Prepare daily progress reports against assigned targets.

·         Monitor actual performance versus planned targets.

·         Prepare management dashboards and performance reports.

·         Consolidate data received from multiple circles, divisions, agencies, and field teams.

·         Ensure timely submission of MIS to project management, Head Office, and clients/DISCOMs.

·         Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly project trackers.

MS Excel & Data Analysis

·         Handle and analyze large volumes of project data using MS Excel.

·         Prepare automated and semi-automated MIS reports and trackers.

·         Strong working knowledge of:

o    VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP

o    Pivot Tables & Pivot Charts

o    IF / Nested IF

o    COUNTIF / COUNTIFS

o    SUMIF / SUMIFS

o    INDEX-MATCH

o    Conditional Formatting

o    Data Validation

o    Filters & Sorting

o    Duplicate identification and data cleansing

·         Perform data reconciliation between different reports and databases.

·         Identify data gaps, discrepancies, duplicates, and inconsistencies.

·         Prepare analytical reports to identify project trends and performance gaps.

·         Develop Excel dashboards for project monitoring.

·         Maintain master data and ensure data accuracy.

Smart Metering Project Monitoring

·         Track daily progress of:

o    Smart Meter Installation

o    Meter Replacement

o    Consumer Indexing

o    Meter Commissioning

o    Site Survey

o    Communication Status

o    WCC / Work Completion Status

·         Monitor installation agency/contractor-wise performance.

·         Track circle/division/area-wise targets and achievements.

·         Maintain pending, rejected, and completed activity reports.

·         Prepare exception reports for delayed or underperforming areas.

·         Highlight critical gaps to the project management team.

Data Collection & Coordination

·         Collect daily data from field teams, supervisors, contractors, and project offices.

·         Coordinate with field teams to ensure timely submission of accurate data.

·         Follow up on missing, incorrect, or delayed reports.

·         Validate data before incorporating it into MIS.

·         Coordinate with project managers and site teams for clarification of discrepancies.

·         Maintain proper communication and reporting timelines.

Data Reconciliation & Quality

·         Reconcile data received from Field Apps, HES, MDMS, Excel trackers, and project portals, wherever applicable.

·         Verify installation and commissioning data against project records.

·         Identify discrepancies between field and system data.

·         Maintain error and discrepancy trackers.

·         Coordinate with concerned teams for correction and closure.

·         Ensure all MIS reports are accurate before submission.

Dashboard & Management Reporting

·         Prepare management dashboards showing key project KPIs.

·         Track:

o    Daily Installation Achievement

o    Target vs Achievement

o    Contractor Performance

o    Productivity

o    Pending Activities

o    Rejection / Error Rates

o    Commissioning Status

o    Communication Status

·         Prepare presentations and summary reports for review meetings.

·         Provide data-driven insights to management for corrective action.

Documentation

·         Maintain soft and hard copies of MIS reports and project trackers.

·         Maintain historical project data and records.

·         Ensure proper version control of reports.

·         Maintain daily/weekly/monthly reporting archives.

·         Support internal and client/DISCOM audits with required data.

Required Skills & Competencies

·         Strong hands-on experience in MS Excel is mandatory.

·         Excellent knowledge of Advanced Excel and data analysis.

·         Strong MIS preparation and reporting skills.

·         Ability to work with large datasets.

·         Good understanding of data validation and reconciliation.

·         Good knowledge of Smart Metering / AMI / AMR projects is preferred.

·         Knowledge of HES, MDMS, Field Apps, and smart metering project portals will be an advantage.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·         Excellent attention to detail.

·         Good communication and coordination skills.

·         Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple reports simultaneously.

Preferred Candidate Profile

·         Candidates with experience in Smart Metering, AMI, RDSS, AMISP, Power Distribution, or Electricity Distribution projects will be preferred.

·         Candidates with experience in MIS, Data Analysis, Reporting, Data Management, or Project Monitoring can apply.

·         Experience in preparing MIS for large field operations is highly desirable.

·         Experience coordinating with field teams, contractors, and project managers will be an advantage.

·         Candidates should be comfortable working with large datasets and preparing management-level reports.
