Key Responsibilities

Data Validation & Quality Control

·         Validate smart meter installation and replacement data received from field teams.

·         Verify consumer details, meter numbers, old/new meter information, installation dates, location details, and other project parameters.

·         Cross-check field data against approved consumer databases and project records.

·         Identify duplicate, incomplete, incorrect, or inconsistent records.

·         Verify meter installation, replacement, commissioning, and communication status.

·         Check installation photographs and supporting documents wherever required.

·         Ensure data accuracy before submission to the client/DISCOM/project management team.

Smart Metering Data Management

·         Validate data related to Consumer Indexing, Smart Meter Installation, Meter Replacement, Meter Commissioning, and Site Survey.

·         Verify meter serial numbers, communication module details, and other installation parameters.

·         Validate data received from mobile applications, field apps, HES, MDMS, and project portals.

·         Support reconciliation between field installation records and HES/MDMS data.

·         Identify meter-level discrepancies and coordinate with technical/field teams for resolution.

MS Excel & MIS Responsibilities

·         Handle and analyze large volumes of data using MS Excel.

·         Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to project progress and data quality.

·         Use VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF formulas, COUNTIF/COUNTIFS, SUMIF/SUMIFS, Filters, Sorting, Conditional Formatting, and data validation for data analysis and reconciliation.

·         Compare data from multiple sources and identify mismatches.

·         Prepare data reconciliation sheets and error/discrepancy trackers.

·         Maintain dashboards and trackers for installation, replacement, commissioning, communication, and data validation.

·         Generate reports on rejected, pending, incomplete, duplicate, and corrected records.

·         Prepare management reports and project analytics as required.

·         Ensure timely submission of accurate MIS to project management.

Field Team Coordination

·         Coordinate with field executives, supervisors, site engineers, and contractors to resolve data discrepancies.

·         Share rejected or incorrect records with concerned field teams for correction.

·         Follow up on pending corrections and ensure timely closure.

·         Provide guidance to field teams regarding accurate data entry and documentation.

·         Conduct random checks of field data and supporting documents.

Data Reconciliation

·         Reconcile field installation data with project databases and system records.

·         Identify mismatches between Field App, HES, MDMS, and MIS data.

·         Verify that completed installations are correctly reflected in project systems.

·         Track discrepancies and maintain proper closure records.

·         Support internal, client, and DISCOM data audits.

Documentation & Compliance

·         Maintain records of validated, rejected, and corrected data.

·         Maintain data validation checklists, trackers, and SOP-related documentation.

·         Ensure proper documentation of installation photographs, test records, and supporting documents.

·         Support project audits and client/DISCOM verification activities.

·         Maintain confidentiality and security of consumer and project data.

Required Skills & Competencies

·         Strong hands-on experience in MS Excel is mandatory.

·         Good knowledge of VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF, COUNTIF/COUNTIFS, SUMIF/SUMIFS, Filters, Sorting, Conditional Formatting, and data reconciliation.

·         Experience handling and analyzing large datasets.

·         Good understanding of Smart Metering / AMI / AMR projects.

·         Knowledge of smart meter installation, replacement, and commissioning processes.

·         Understanding of HES, MDMS, Field Apps, and meter communication systems will be an advantage.

·         Strong data validation and reconciliation skills.

·         Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

·         Strong MIS preparation and reporting skills.

·         Good communication and coordination abilities.

·         Analytical and problem-solving mindset.

·         Ability to work under pressure and meet daily/monthly targets.

Preferred Candidate Profile

·         Candidates with experience in Smart Metering, AMI, RDSS, AMISP, Power Distribution, or Electricity Distribution projects will be preferred.

·         Candidates having 2–5 years of experience in MIS, Data Validation, Data Analysis, Data Reconciliation, or Quality Control are encouraged to apply.

·         Experience working with HES/MDMS, Field Apps, Excel-based MIS, and project portals will be an added advantage.

·         Strong Excel proficiency with practical experience in data analysis and reconciliation is highly preferred.

·         Should be comfortable coordinating with field teams and handling large volumes of project data.
