Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Planning

• Handle end-to-end execution of Smart Metering projects at the circle level.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly installation plans to achieve project milestones and targets.
• Monitor installation progress and ensure project completion within defined timelines.
• Implement corrective actions to improve project performance and achieve targets.

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare and share daily MIS, progress reports, and project analytics with DISCOM officials and Head Office management.
• Coordinate closely with DISCOM/JVVNL officials for smooth project execution and issue resolution.
• Conduct regular review meetings with field teams, supervisors, and contractors.

Field Operations Management

• Manage and supervise:
  • In-house field teams
  • Contractor manpower
  • Site supervisors
  • Vendor teams
• Ensure proper execution of:
  • Consumer Indexing
  • Smart Meter Installation
  • Meter Replacement Activities
  • Site Survey and Execution

Quality & Compliance

• Verify WCC (Work Completion Certificates) and contractor execution quality.
• Monitor field quality and ensure compliance with project SOPs and safety standards.
• Handle site management and field execution-related issues on priority.

Material & Operational Management

• Ensure proper material utilization and productivity optimization at the circle level.
• Coordinate de-installation/devolution and proper handling of old meters.
• Support O&M activities and post-installation field issue resolution.

Consumer & Stakeholder Management

• Develop and execute consumer resistance mitigation plans in coordination with DISCOM field officials.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and government stakeholders for smooth project delivery.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of Smart Metering implementation activities.
• Knowledge of RDSS Smart Metering project execution.
• Experience in managing multiple agencies and large field teams.
• Strong MIS reporting and project monitoring capabilities.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in Smart Metering, AMI, or Power Distribution projects.
• Candidates currently working as Circle In-Charge or in a similar leadership role in RDSS/AMISP Smart Metering projects will be preferred.
• Experience in district/circle-level execution and DISCOM coordination will be an added advantage.
