Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solar PV Installer Trainer to deliver practical and theoretical training to aspiring solar PV installers. The trainer will develop trainees’ skills in solar installation, electrical connections, testing, maintenance and workplace safety as per industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct practical and theoretical training on Solar PV installation and maintenance.
- Demonstrate solar panel mounting, structure installation, wiring and electrical connections.
- Train candidates on inverter installation, earthing, testing and basic troubleshooting.
- Explain solar PV components, tools, equipment and safety procedures.
- Conduct hands-on practical sessions and supervise trainees during field activities.
- Prepare trainees for practical and theoretical assessments.
- Evaluate trainee performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain attendance, assessment, performance and certification records.
- Ensure proper use, safety and maintenance of training tools and equipment.
- Prepare training reports, MIS and other required documentation.
- Collect trainee feedback and improve training delivery.
- Coordinate with the Training, Project and Operations teams.
II. Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Solar or related trade preferred.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Solar PV installation/Electrical work.
- Previous training/instructional experience preferred.
- TOT Certified preferred/required.
- Good knowledge of Solar PV systems, installation and electrical safety.
- Strong communication and instructional skills.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and practical manner.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
