PPC Engineer (Production Planning & Control)
Position: PPC Engineer
Department: Operations / Production Planning
Reports To: Operations Manager / Plant Head
Role Overview:
The PPC Engineer will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring production activities to ensure timely delivery of machines and components. The role involves coordination with purchase, stores, production, and design teams to optimize resource utilization and maintain smooth workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain production plans and schedules based on project timelines and customer requirements.
Coordinate with design, purchase, and stores for material availability.
Monitor daily production progress and ensure adherence to schedules.
Plan and track machine assembly, fabrication, and machining activities.
Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to avoid delays.
Maintain production MIS reports, dashboards, and status updates.
Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and resources.
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for outsourced activities.
Support inventory control and ensure availability of critical materials.
Follow up on pending materials, work orders, and production milestones.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and control processes.
Knowledge of BOM, routing, and manufacturing workflows.
Experience in SAP / ERP systems (MM/PP modules preferred).
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong coordination and follow-up ability.
Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
