Job Title: Production Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily production plans at the micro level to achieve production targets.

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily manufacturing activities to ensure timely production and product quality.

• Conduct in-process inspections and ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.

• Monitor production output, productivity, and machine utilization, and maintain daily production records.

• Provide engineering support for production and maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

• Identify process bottlenecks and implement improvements to enhance production capacity, quality, and reliability.

• Understand various machining processes, machine capabilities, and dimensional tolerances.

• Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies.

• Identify and report unsafe practices and ensure safe working conditions on the shop floor.

• Train and guide team members to achieve production and quality targets.

• Maintain work instructions, latest revision drawings, production schedules, manufacturing process plans, weld plans, and WPS documents.

• Promote 5S practices, workplace organization, self-inspection, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure proper completion of production documentation and job-wise booking of actual hours for cost analysis.

• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth production operations.

• Perform other production-related activities as required to achieve organizational goals.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of production planning, manufacturing processes, and shop-floor operations.

• Understanding of machining processes, dimensional tolerances, and engineering drawings.

• Knowledge of quality control, in-process inspection, and root cause analysis.

• Problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Knowledge of 5S, workplace safety, and continuous improvement practices.

• Ability to manage production targets, manpower, and machine utilization.

• Good communication, coordination, and team management skills.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting.

Preferred Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechetronics Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• Experience in production, manufacturing, or shop-floor operations will be preferred.

• Experience in machining, fabrication, or industrial manufacturing will be an added advantage.
