Role Summary

Sapling Global is hiring an experienced Assistant Manager – Background Verification to manage end-to-end background verification operations for client projects. The candidate will be responsible for case management, client coordination, vendor follow-up, report quality, SLA adherence, and team supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end background verification operations for assigned clients.
• Handle employment, education, address, identity, criminal/court, reference, and document verification checks.
• Coordinate with clients, candidates, institutions, employers, vendors, and field teams.
• Monitor case progress and ensure closure within agreed SLA.
• Review documents, identify discrepancies, and escalate adverse findings.
• Prepare, review, and submit final verification reports.
• Maintain MIS, trackers, dashboards, and daily/weekly status reports.
• Handle client queries, escalations, and operational issues.
• Supervise and guide verification executives and vendor teams.
• Ensure confidentiality, data security, compliance, and process adherence.
• Support process improvement and quality control initiatives.

Required Skills

• 5–6 years of experience in background verification / employee screening.
• Strong knowledge of BGV processes and documentation.
• Experience in team handling, client coordination, and vendor management.
• Good understanding of SLA, MIS, case tracking, and report quality.
• Ability to identify forged documents, employment gaps, discrepancies, and red flags.
• Strong communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, CRM, or BGV platforms.

Preferred Background

• Experience with BGV companies, HR consulting firms, staffing firms, compliance firms, or security service providers.
• Exposure to domestic and international verification checks will be an added advantage.
• Prior client-site deployment experience preferred.

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. HR, Business Administration, Commerce, Law, or Management background preferred.
