We are looking for an experienced EHS & Sustainability Assistant Manager / Manager to lead and strengthen Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) practices across the Innovare Digital Site. The candidate will be responsible for driving a strong safety culture, ensuring statutory compliance, implementing EHS standards, and promoting sustainable workplace practices while coordinating with laboratory teams and facility management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive and manage Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) programs across the site.
• Coordinate with Lab Teams and Facility Management (IFM) to ensure smooth implementation of EHS processes and compliance with safety standards.
• Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Promote a proactive safety culture by conducting awareness programs and sharing incident learnings.
• Lead the EHS function by working closely with facility contractors and ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
• Develop and implement site-specific EHS technical standards and electrical safety guidelines.
• Implement and maintain Electrical Safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in line with company standards.
• Support shutdown activities by ensuring compliance with electrical safety requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory Environment, Health & Safety regulations and legal requirements.
• Manage Li-ion battery storage, collection, transportation, and disposal in accordance with safety standards.
• Guide laboratory teams on equipment safety protocols, operational risks, and preventive measures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, safety walks, and workplace risk assessments.
• Prepare and review HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) for high-risk activities and ensure effective control measures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and environmental losses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Develop training matrices and conduct EHS training and awareness programs for employees.
• Ensure risk assessments are completed and updated for all critical operations.
• Work closely with Site and Lab Heads to prepare and implement EHS plans.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies such as the Fire Department, Government Authorities, and Local Officials.
• Ensure EHS clearance is obtained before the commencement of any new activity and involve the EHS team during project planning.
• Prepare reports, monitor statutory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety and sustainability initiatives.
