We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Vocational Trainer – Retail to join our team. The trainer will be responsible for teaching, mentoring, and preparing trainees/students in retail store operations, customer service, merchandising, inventory management, and sales processes, ensuring they meet industry standards and become career-ready.

Key Responsibilities
Training & Delivery
Deliver theoretical knowledge and practical training on retail store operations, inventory management, merchandising, billing procedures, customer service, and standard retail operating practices.
Technical Training
Conduct hands-on training sessions on Point of Sale (POS) systems, billing software, inventory tracking, barcode scanning, stock management, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and digital retail tools.
Customer Service & Communication
Train students in customer interaction, effective communication, grievance handling, selling techniques, upselling, cross-selling, professional etiquette, and store-floor behaviour.
Assessment & Evaluation
Evaluate trainees' progress through regular theory tests, practical assessments, mock retail scenarios, role plays, viva-voce, and continuous performance reviews, providing structured feedback for improvement.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of retail store operations, inventory management, merchandising, supply chain basics, and customer service.
Proficiency in POS billing systems and computer applications, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
Excellent communication, instructional, and classroom management skills.
Ability to simplify retail concepts and operational workflows into practical learning modules.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess at least 50% marks in any of the following qualifications from a recognized university or institution:
Graduate in Retial OR Diploma in Retail Management; OR
Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Marketing.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
MBA (Retail Marketing); and/or
Post Graduate Diploma in Retail Management.
2. Required Experience
Minimum 1 year of professional work experience in retail store operations, sales, merchandising, inventory management, customer service, or related retail functions; OR minimum 1 year of teaching/training experience in the Retail domain
