Experience: 3 - 6 years
Qualification : B.E / Diploma in Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Eng

Key Responsiblities:
• Realize the build of critical , complex machines for Schneider Electric Plants by effective procurement Management. Identify and manage risks in the Project.
• Responsible for all purchasing activities – material , services , logistics for machine building activities of MDC India.
• Manage the right level of inventory for standard parts balancing cost and lead time.
• Identify new and right suppliers , partners for improving quality , cost and delivery of parts , services needed for MDC India.
• Anticipate risks and plan in advance , backup plans to get the material
• Prepare and update weekly , monthly report on Procurement status (What is the expected contributions of the position to the results of the organization)
• Purchase activity
o Get the quotations for the anticipated materials , service at the right time for the project manager to be able to provide the quotes for the Machines
o Procure all parts needed for the machine development activities of Machine Design centre India ( MDC India ) with right quality ,optimized cost and shortest lead time.
• Create PO based on PR’s and followup for PO release .
o Formalize service contracts with partners for surface treatment needs , wiring , drafting etc.,
o Work closely with the project manager , technical team well in advance to plan the materials , service needs for the projects in MDC India
o Have dual sourcing , backup plans for critical items to be procured.
o With the support of project manager, technical team drive the suppliers to provide the material , service on time
o Manage the transportation and logistics , based on agreed conditions in the project.
• Continuous Improvement
o Conduct regular audits of the suppliers along with Technical team to improve quality, establish right standards .
o Look out for external Benchmark , Industry forums to identify new suppliers to improve Quality , cost ,delivery of parts and service
o Work with other purchasing teams in the company to fix better deals.
o Work out with other MDC’s to look at ways to stock critical parts and use when needed.
Key Skills:
Negotiation skills , ERP systems , MS Office a must
Business Understanding: Min 3 years in Procurement function / Machine design function
Experience with SAP systems
Purchase activity – Negotiation skills , Contract preparation , Inventory management
Knowledge on common materials ,services needed for Machine development
Manage / Balance budget to meet the committed Quality , Cost , Delivery
Good English level & Windows environment
Good Communication & negotiation skills
