Job Summary:
We are hiring Pipe Fitter Technicians for City Gas Distribution projects. The selected candidates will be responsible for the installation, fitting, testing, repair, and maintenance of gas pipelines and related equipment while following prescribed quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, repair, and maintain gas pipelines and pipe fittings.
- Perform pipe cutting, threading, bending, alignment, and jointing.
- Install valves, regulators, meters, supports, and related pipeline equipment.
- Conduct leakage tests, pressure tests, and basic pipeline inspections.
- Read and understand pipeline drawings, layouts, and technical instructions.
- Identify and rectify leakage, alignment, and fitting-related issues.
- Follow CGD safety standards, permit-to-work procedures, and site instructions.
- Use tools and equipment safely and maintain them in proper condition.
- Maintain daily work records and report progress to the site supervisor.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other project team members.
Eligibility Criteria:
- ITI in Fitter, Plumber, Mechanical, or any relevant technical trade is preferred.
- Freshers and experienced candidates are eligible to apply.
- Experience in CGD, PNG, gas pipelines, industrial piping, plumbing, or related projects will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of pipe fittings, valves, regulators, and pipeline safety is preferred.
- Candidates should be physically fit and willing to work at project sites.
- Candidates must be willing to relocate or travel based on project requirements.
Special Training for Freshers
Selected freshers will receive free residential training at a world-class training facility. Accommodation will be provided during the training period, and food will be available at subsidized rates.
The training will cover:
- Pipe fitting techniques
- Use of tools and equipment
- CGD pipeline installation practices
- Valve and regulator installation
- Leakage and pressure testing
- Workplace health and safety
- Practical, hands-on technical training
Compensation:
- Monthly salary of ₹20,000–₹30,000, based on experience and skills
