The Industrial Engineer will support assembly line operations by driving productivity improvement, manpower planning, line balancing, process optimization, and production reporting activities. The role involves close coordination with production and engineering teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct work measurement and time study activities for assembly operations.
• Prepare and maintain assembly process time calculations.
• Perform line balancing activities to improve productivity and manpower utilization.
• Support workstation readiness and process modifications based on production requirements.
• Prepare and update assembly line layouts using AutoCAD.
• Prepare and maintain jig layouts and engineering drawings in AutoCAD.
• Generate daily Assembly Line KE reports.
• Generate daily OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) reports.
• Maintain daily manpower (HC) data in DLP sheets.
• Assign daily activities and monitor task completion for technicians.
• Participate in SIM2 and other production review meetings.
• Extract Backflush reports from Oracle ERP and prepare reports in Excel.
• Extract Routing reports from Oracle ERP and prepare reports in Excel.
• Export and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) data for OWS.
• Prepare and maintain production and engineering reports using Microsoft Excel.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of production activities.
Skills & Competencies
• Knowledge of Industrial Engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of line balancing, work measurement, and productivity improvement techniques.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Oracle ERP or similar ERP systems is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
