The Assistant Electrician Trainer will be responsible for delivering classroom and practical training to candidates enrolled in the Assistant Electrician trade. The trainer will ensure trainees gain the technical knowledge, practical skills, and safety awareness required for entry-level electrical jobs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct theoretical and practical training sessions for Assistant Electrician candidates.
- Train candidates on:
- Electrical fundamentals
- House wiring and electrical installations
- Electrical tools and equipment
- Cable laying and connections
- Earthing systems
- Testing and troubleshooting
- Electrical safety practices and PPE usage
- Demonstrate practical electrical tasks and supervise workshop activities.
- Assess trainee performance through practical tests and written evaluations.
- Maintain attendance, assessment records, and training reports.
- Ensure proper maintenance of training equipment and workshop facilities.
- Support placement and post-placement activities as per project requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
- ITI Electrician (Mandatory)
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Preferred)
- 2–5 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or electrical training.
- Experience in skill development projects will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of domestic and industrial electrical systems.
- Understanding of electrical safety standards.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to conduct hands-on practical training.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office).
