Job Summary
The Retail Trainer will be responsible for delivering training programs to retail staff, enhancing product knowledge, customer service skills, sales techniques, and operational excellence. The trainer will ensure that trainees are job-ready and capable of meeting organizational and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom and on-the-job training sessions for retail associates and trainees.
- Develop and deliver training modules on:
- Customer service
- Sales techniques
- Product knowledge
- Retail operations
- Soft skills and workplace behavior
- Assess trainee performance through tests, assignments, and practical evaluations.
- Maintain training records, attendance, and assessment reports.
- Coordinate with project and operations teams to ensure training objectives are met.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to trainees.
- Support placement and post-training activities, as required.
- Ensure adherence to training quality standards and project guidelines.
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in retail operations, retail training, or skill development projects.
- Strong knowledge of retail sales and customer service practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills
- Experience in government skill development projects.
- Ability to manage classroom training and practical sessions.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English and local language.
