Location: Pune, Nashik, Ramnagar (Maharashtra) & Sindhudurg (Karnataka)
Experience Required: 1 to 5 Years
Educational Qualification:
· Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering disciplines.
Industry Preference: City Gas Distribution (CGD), Oil & Gas, Pipeline Projects
CTC: ₹3.40 LPA – ₹4.00 LPA
Job Summary:
We are seeking dynamic and experienced CSA Engineers to support the execution, inspection, supervision, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities related to City Gas Distribution (CGD) pipeline networks and associated infrastructure. The candidate should possess hands-on experience in pipeline installation, testing, commissioning, and site management within the Oil & Gas or CGD industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Pipeline Installation & Construction:
· Ensure safe excavation and achievement of the required trench depth and sand padding.
· Provide temporary footways/passages for pedestrians and light traffic during construction activities.
· Install red flashing lights and safety barricades during nighttime operations.
· Lower pipes into trenches and perform electro-fusion jointing activities.
· Execute crossings of drains, culverts, and nallahs as per project requirements.
· Install MDPE, GI, and Copper pipelines along with associated fittings and accessories.
Equipment Installation:
· Installation of isolation valves, tap-off valves, stop-off valves, regulators, service regulators, and DRS units.
· Installation of gas meters and other related CGD equipment.
· Provide warning tapes and additional protective measures wherever required.
· Ensure proper protection of existing utilities while maintaining a minimum clearance of 300 mm from other underground services.
· Install route markers and plate markers as per project specifications.
Testing & Commissioning:
· Conduct flushing of laid pipeline networks.
· Perform pneumatic testing of MDPE, GI, and Copper pipelines.
· Carry out leak detection and repair activities.
· Support commissioning of gas pipelines and conversion of consumer appliances.
Restoration & Quality Control:
· Supervise backfilling and compaction of trenches.
· Ensure restoration and permanent reinstatement of roads and surfaces as applicable.
· Monitor quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
Documentation & Reporting:
· Prepare, verify, authorize, and counter-sign daily inspection reports.
· Maintain Pipe Books and project records on a weekly basis.
· Prepare As-Built Drawings and Check Prints for billing and project documentation.
· Ensure timely submission of project progress reports and site records.
Site Management:
· Manage and supervise CNG station and steel pipeline works.
· Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
· Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
· Monitor site activities to achieve project timelines and quality objectives.
Required Skills:
· Knowledge of City Gas Distribution (CGD) projects.
· Understanding of MDPE, GI, and Copper pipeline installation and testing.
· Familiarity with pneumatic testing, commissioning, and leak detection processes.
· Ability to interpret engineering drawings and project documentation.
· Strong site supervision, coordination, and reporting skills.
· Knowledge of safety standards and construction practices in the Oil & Gas industry.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
· 1–5 years of experience in CGD, Oil & Gas, Pipeline Construction, or Utility Infrastructure Projects.
· Willingness to travel and work across project locations.
· Strong communication and coordination skills.
