Role Summary: The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for leading end-to-end warehouse operations, ensuring seamless material flow from receiving to issuance. This role requires a hands-on 3 to 5 years of relevant experience who can manage daily shift operations while driving strategic improvements in safety, quality, and delivery. The ideal candidate is a process-oriented professional who utilizes data-driven KPI tracking and Lean methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Shift & Operational Leadership
Shift In-Charge Accountability: Lead and oversee daily shift operations, ensuring manpower is effectively allocated to meet fluctuating volume demands.
Process Enforcement: Standardize and monitor core warehouse processes, including Inward/GRN, Put-away, Picking, and Dispatch.
MHE & Tech Management: Oversee the utilization of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and ensure 100% adherence to WMS protocols and RF scanner usage.
2. Performance & KPI Management (SQDCM Framework)
Drive operational excellence by tracking and reporting performance through the SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale) framework:
Safety: Zero-accident workplace through regular audits and PPE compliance.
Quality: Maintaining 99.9% inventory accuracy via robust cycle counting and shelf-life management.
Delivery: Achieving high 98% uptime rates and minimizing dock-to-stock lead times.
Cost: Managing labor productivity and reducing operational waste/shrinkage.
Morale: Conducting training and competency development for the warehouse team.
3. Lean & Continuous Improvement
Implement Lean Manufacturing principles within the warehouse environment (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and Gemba walks).
Standardize workplace organization using 5S methodology to ensure a high- velocity, clutter-free floor.
Identify bottlenecks in the supply chain and lead Continuous Improvement (CI) projects to enhance throughput and reduce handling costs.
4. Safety, Compliance & Governance
Ensure strict adherence to statutory compliance, labor laws, and corporate safety standards.
Conduct regular Safety Risk Assessments and ensure all equipment (racking, forklifts, conveyors) is certified and maintained.
Manage documentation for audits, including Gate Entry registers, Delivery Challans, and Stock Adjustment reports.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing or 3PL environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related
technical field.
Technical Skills: * Advanced proficiency in WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and ERP platforms.
Strong data analytical skills using Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) for KPI reporting.
Core Competencies:
Deep understanding of inventory profiling, slotting, and ABC analysis.
Ability to work across shifts and lead a team of 10+ associates.
