Role Overview
The Software QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through systematic testing and quality assurance processes. The role involves executing manual and automation testing, identifying defects, and working closely with developers to improve product quality.
The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to testing software applications throughout the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scenarios based on project requirements.
- Perform manual testing of applications to identify defects and usability issues.
- Support automation testing using appropriate tools as per project requirements.
- Track and report defects using defect management tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
- Work closely with developers and project teams to resolve bugs and improve system quality.
- Perform API testing and validate system integrations.
- Ensure adherence to Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)practices.
- Maintain testing documentation, reports, and quality metrics.
Eligibility Criteria
- BE / B.Tech / MCA / BCA or equivalent qualification (Computer Science / IT preferred).
- 0.6-1 year of experience in software testing; freshers with QA knowledge may apply.
- Understanding of software testing concepts, STLC, and SDLC.
- Knowledge of test case creation and defect tracking processes.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and API testing.
- Exposure to Selenium, Appium, or other automation tools will be an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Test case design and execution

- API testing tools (Postman or similar)
- Basic SQL queries for data validation
- Automation testing tools such as Selenium or Appium (nice to have)
