The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of the NSDC-funded CSR Skilling & Livelihood Project, implemented in partnership with Vision India. The role ensures effective planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, and compliance in line with NSDC guidelines, CSR partner requirements, and Vision India’s implementation framework, with a strong focus on outcomes, quality, and impact.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Project Planning & Implementation
- Lead project execution as per the approved NSDC CSR proposal, timelines, and budgets in coordination with Vision India
- Develop detailed implementation plans, quarterly milestones, and activity schedules
- Ensure field-level execution aligns with NSDC standards, CSR objectives, and compliance norms
- NSDC, Donor & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary coordination point between NSDC, CSR partner, and Vision India
- Support donor reviews, NSDC monitoring visits, audits, and impact assessments
- Coordinate with training partners, assessment agencies, placement partners, and district stakeholders
Skilling & Training Operations
- Oversee the complete skilling lifecycle: mobilization, enrollment, training delivery, assessment, certification, and placement
- Ensure training delivery adheres to SSC norms, QP/NOS, and NSDC SOPs
- Monitor training center operations, trainer performance, and batch quality
- Strengthen employer linkages and post-placement tracking mechanisms
Monitoring, MIS & Reporting
- Track project progress against physical and financial targets
- Ensure accurate and timely MIS reporting as per NSDC and CSR partner formats
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and milestone-based reports, dashboards, and donor presentations
- Maintain complete project documentation for compliance and audits
Financial & Compliance Management
- Monitor project budgets and ensure cost control as per CSR and NSDC approvals
- Support utilization certificates (UCs), fund tracking, and financial closures
- Ensure compliance with CSR Act, NSDC guidelines, statutory norms, and internal policies
- Support internal, statutory, and donor audits
Risk Management & Issue Resolution
- Identify project risks and operational challenges and implement mitigation plans
- Address field-level issues such as mobilization gaps, dropouts, assessment delays, and placement challenges
- Ensure uninterrupted project execution without deviation from agreed deliverables
Project Closure & Knowledge Management
- Ensure timely and compliant project closure including final reports and documentation
- Document best practices, success stories, and key learnings
- Support impact evaluation and sustainability planning
Educational Qualification
Graduate / MBA / Postgraduate in Management, Social Work, Rural Development, or related fields
Exposure to NSDC, CSR, skilling, or livelihood projects preferred
Experience (Mandatory)
- 6 years of experience in CSR, skilling, livelihood, or development sector projects
- Proven experience working with NSDC, Sector Skill Councils (SSCs), CSR donors, or large implementation partners such as Vision India
- Strong exposure to district/state-level project implementation and multi-stakeholder coordination
