Job Description – CNC Operator

Position Summary
We are looking for skilled and semi-skilled CNC Operators to operate CNC machines for precision machining of engine and auto components while ensuring quality, safety, and productivity standards.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: ITI / Diploma (Machinist, Turner, Fitter, Production, Mechanical)
- Experience:
Fresher / 0–1 year (Trainee) 1–3 years (Experienced Operator)
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines (Turning / Milling / VMC / HMC)
- Load and unload components as per job instructions
- Set tools, offsets, and fixtures under supervision
- Perform in-process inspection using vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, etc.
- Monitor machine parameters and cycle times
- Maintain production records and job cards
- Follow SOPs, quality standards, and safety guidelines
- Perform basic machine cleaning and TPM activities
- Report any machine abnormalities or defects to supervisor
Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of CNC machining concepts
- Knowledge of cutting tools and measuring instruments
- Ability to read engineering drawings (preferred)
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Physically fit for shop-floor work
- Team player with discipline and willingness to learn
Preferred (For Experienced Candidates)
- Knowledge of Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controls
- Basic program editing (offset changes, tool wear compensation)
- Experience in automotive / engine component machining
