About the Role
Inverters Business Head – Odisha
The Inverters Business Head, Odisha will be responsible for leading and scaling Direct-to-Customer (D2C) operations across the state. This role will own branch-level P&L, build and manage high-performing teams, and drive strategic initiatives—particularly leveraging opportunities under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana. The position will begin with the flagship branch in Balangir and expand across Odisha.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all D2C grid-tied inverter branches across Odisha, starting with the flagship branch in Balangir.
Own and drive branch-level P&L, revenue growth, profitability, and market share expansion.
Build, manage, and mentor teams including Area Business Managers (ABMs), Associate Regional Managers (ARMs), Process Associates, and commission-based agents (EOs).
Establish, optimize, and scale processes for customer prospecting, sales conversion, installations, and after-sales service.
Oversee the complete customer lifecycle—from inquiry and sales to installation and ongoing support.
Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve sales targets and enhance brand visibility.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with government regulations, DISCOM norms, industry standards, and internal policies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with DISCOMs, government agencies, and channel partners.
Ensure operational excellence in all aspects of the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, including subsidy frameworks and execution.
Candidate Profile
Education
Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in sales and business development.
Strong background in D2C business models or managing multiple branches in the solar rooftop / inverter industry (Odisha experience preferred).
Skills & Knowledge
Deep understanding of the grid-tied solar market in Odisha.
Strong knowledge of PM Surya Ghar Yojana, subsidy mechanisms, and DISCOM regulations.
Proven track record of scaling D2C sales operations.
Hands-on experience with CRM platforms and data-driven decision-making.
Strong leadership, people management, and team development capabilities.
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
