Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic ARC Welding Trainer for our Learning and Development (L&D) team at Vision India. The Trainer will be responsible for implementing effective learning programs to foster continuous development of trainees/job aspirants. This role will focus on enhancing welding skills, technical knowledge, safety awareness, and aligning trainees for placement as per industry requirements. The ideal candidate will have a passion for people development and a proven track record in training delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct hands-on training sessions on ARC (Shielded Metal Arc) Welding, including equipment setup, welding techniques, joint preparation, and quality inspection.
• Provide theoretical instruction on welding principles, metallurgy basics, welding symbols, materials, electrodes, and industry standards.
• Train trainees on welding safety procedures, PPE usage, hazard identification, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop and update training materials, manuals, and curriculum in line with the latest industry standards and welding technologies.
• Demonstrate welding techniques for different positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead) and materials.
• Utilize various training methods including classroom sessions, demonstrations, practical workshops, and assessments to cater to different learning styles.
• Customize training programs for varying experience levels, from beginners to advanced welders.
• Assess trainee performance through practical welding tests, visual inspections, written assessments, and skill evaluations.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help trainees improve welding quality and productivity.
• Maintain accurate records of trainee attendance, performance, assessments, and certification status.
• Ensure all training activities comply with industry safety standards and quality requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture and best practices in welding operations.
• Collect trainee feedback to evaluate training effectiveness and suggest improvements.
• Prepare training reports and performance analysis for management and stakeholders.
• Ensure proper usage, care, and maintenance of welding machines, tools, and training resources.
• Coordinate with other trainers, HR, and operations teams to ensure effective training delivery and placement alignment.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and trainees.

Education:

• Diploma (Mechanical / Production / Welding Technology)
• B.Tech / B.E. (Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy)
• Any equivalent technical qualification relevant to welding
• Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in ARC Welding operations in industrial or fabrication environments.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Welding Trainer / Instructor preferred.

• Strong technical knowledge of ARC Welding processes, electrodes, welding positions, and quality control.
• Knowledge of welding codes, standards, and safety practices.
• Excellent training, instructional design, and facilitation skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to design and deliver structured training programs.

• Ability to manage multiple training batches simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel as per project requirements.
