IT Butler Job Description:-
Guest-Facing Responsibilities
- Provide on-demand, personalized technical assistance to hotel guests (e.g., Wi-Fi setup, streaming, smart room controls, device connections).
- Assist guests with audio-visual setups for meetings, presentations, and events.
- Configure and support guest room entertainment systems.
- Guide guests in using hotel mobile apps, digital room keys, and in-room tablets or smart assistants.
- Deliver prompt, courteous, and professional service, ensuring minimal disruption to guests’ stay.
Operational & Technical Support
- Coordinate with the IT department to monitor and maintain guest network performance and ensure high-speed, secure connectivity.
- Report and troubleshoot hardware/software issues in guest rooms and public areas.
- Assist with configuration and maintenance of hotel smart systems.
- Support VIP setups, pre-arrival technology requests, and post-departure data security checks.
- Keep records of guest IT requests, solutions, and feedback for continuous improvement.
Training & Collaboration
- Train front office and concierge staff on basic guest tech support protocols.
- Work closely with Rooms Division, Engineering, and IT to maintain operational excellence.
- Stay updated on emerging hospitality technologies to enhance the guest experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in IT support, preferably in the hospitality industry or luxury environment.
- Strong knowledge of:
o Networking (LAN/Wi-Fi troubleshooting)
o Smart room systems (IoT, IPTV, automation)
o Mobile device connectivity (Android, iOS, Windows, macOS)
o Audio-visual and conference tech
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Service-oriented mindset with attention to detail and discretion.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Fluent in English (additional languages preferred).
